Quinta Magnólia offers the ideal balance for your vacation. Here you will find fun and relaxation areas, where you can recover your energy.
The Roman-style outdoor pool is surrounded by nature and equipped with sun loungers where you can relax, sunbathe and take refreshing dips. Perfect for enjoying sunny days with all the family and friends, or retreating into the natural shadows, on the rocking beds hanging under the treetops.
Quinta Magnólia is a place with guaranteed fun for both adults and the little ones!
Outdoors, the little ones can play on the swings, spyroball, enjoy refreshing dips in the pool, or even jump on the giant trampoline, do target shooting and play football on the lawn. The sand field is versatile, it can involve children and adults! Guaranteed fun, such as a volleyball tournament or beach tennis. You can also play beach football or badminton.
Inside the house, you can organize table football tournaments, play table tennis, darts, or simply do Pilates or other gymnastics. There is also a chess table, and lots of table/social games, or a game of snooker or billiards. You can watch your favourite movies on the 65” Smart TV’s digital platforms, or connect a playstation to the TV in the upstairs game room.
With so much fun, it will hard choosing where to start from!
Inside, the little ones can watch children’s DVDs from our video library, or play lego and other growth-oriented games.
The options are more than many! Don’t forget the walks or bike rides, you can explore and enjoy all of nature, in the surroundings of Quinta Magnólia, in the middle of the National Ecological Reserve.
We have 4 bicycles and helmets for adults and children, to get in contact with the Algarve’s fauna and flora, and also to watch the birds of the region.
When you talk about the list of things to do in this life, it’s common to talk about planting a tree, isn’t it?
Well, at Quinta Magnólia you can plant your tree and leave your positive mark on nature.
Next to your tree, you can leave a signage with your name and name of the tree, so that, later, you can come back and see the growth of your legacy. We are most happy to welcome you back and take care of your tree with all our affection.
Outdoors, on the lawn, you will find a BBQ that you can use to prepare delicious meals for everyone.
A BBQ has the ability to transform any environment into a pleasant, healthy and fun social and gastronomic experience. You can enjoy delicious grilled dishes, try the fish from the D Maria José counter at the local market in Odiáxere, or the fresh meat from Sr. António’s butcher.
But also in winter and in the least hot months, the house has a fireplace and a Salamadra in the lounges that provide comfort and a cozy atmosphere. And many of the entertainments are still available indoors. Every year we welcome golfers, groups related to motor sports at the Autódromo do Algarve and even groups of athletes for internships.
There is also an orchard and organic garden. You can learn a little about these arts. Back to earth is crucial to our balance. Discover the vineyard and depending on the time of year, if you wish, you may participate in the winery activities.
Beaches
The Algarve is well known for its beautiful beaches. Near Quinta Magnólia are located some of the most amazing beaches in the region. Our property is just a few minutes by car from the beaches, some just 5 minutes:
- Beach Meia Praia (6,4km): This is one of the largest beaches in the region, with 4km of white sand and a fortress at the eastern end. It has good beach support services.
- Beach and Alvor Vilage (8km): Take the opportunity to explore this charming traditional fishing village.
- Beach Praia da Batata (8km): Cozy beach, a few meters from the historic center of Lagos, with fascinating rock formations. It has good beach support services and leisure equipment.
- Beach Praia Dona Ana (8.7km): One of the most famous and beautiful beaches in Lagos, situated on limestone cliffs, with inviting, crystal-clear water and a spectacular view. Its rock formation makes it well protected from winds, making it even more pleasant.
- Beach Praia do Camilo (9.2km): Beach with a small sand, nestled between cliffs and caves, with access via a staircase of about 200 steps, which are worth it! There is a parking facility next to the beach and a restaurant with the same name at the top of the steps.
- Beach Praia da Rocha (10.5km): Beach with a large stretch of sand and the Fortaleza de – Santa Catarina, from the 17th century. Walk along the wooden walkways and discover the many bars and restaurants.
There is also a good sports area in the region. For lovers of water sports, there are numerous options such as Stand Up Paddle and jetski. You can also take a tour of the region’s beautiful caves, or watch the dolphins, by boat or kayak.

- Marina de Lagos (7km): This is where the main boat trips in the region depart. The Marina has a good offer of restaurants, making it a great choice for lunch or dinner, or a walk in the evening.
- Ponta da Piedade (9.9km): one of the main tourist attractions in the region; it has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and a lighthouse that allows an even more breathtaking view from the top of its 182 steps. Caves, bays and quiet beaches to discover. The best way to get to know this area is to take a boat or kayak trip.
- Palmares Golf Course (6.7km): This beautiful 18-hole golf course enjoys breathtaking views of the delta of Ria de Alvor and the magnificent bay of Lagos. Some of the holes are next to the beach and others on the slopes, surrounded by almond and carob trees.
- Penina Golf Course (6.6km): Considered the birthplace of golf in the Algarve, it has 3 golf courses, one of them with 18 holes. The fields are set in a 360-hectare expanse of beautiful gardens.
- Algarve International Autodrome (7.3km): It is one of the most modern and versatile European circuits, hosting Formula 1 and Superbike tournaments. The project includes a large leisure area, with a karting track, an offroad track, a technology park and a sports complex. You can even rent a car or a motorbike and drive your emotions.
